WORKER RESCUED FROM TOP OF SILO

FEBRUARY 21, 2025 - AURORA, MO

Just before noon, a rescue took place at Tyson's Aurora Feed Mill. An employee fell from an elevated area and landed on the top of the mill, approximately 10 stories up.

Aurora fire requested mutual-aide from the Monett Fire Department for a potential technical rescue but fortunately, crews were able to fit in an elevator with the patient to help expedite the rescue.

Crews on the scene transported the patient 1 mile south to the Aurora Municipal Airport where a Mercy Lifeline helicopter was waiting to take over patient care.
