PURSUIT ENDS IN VIOLENT CRASH

FEBRUARY 27, 2025 - Aurora, MO

An attempted traffic stop, turned into a chase in Aurora. The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office pursued the vehicle as it sped westbound on Business US-60 towards Verona when it lost control, crashed and rolled near Lawrence 1165.

A statement from the Sheriff's Office stated the suspect vehicle was occupied by a 19-year-old driver and three juveniles, one of which was ejected. All were injured and transported to local hospitals. A search of the vehicle revealed a large amount of marijuana as well as a handgun.

Charges against the adult driver include aggravated fleeing causing injury and driving while intoxicated.
