COLLIDING WITH POLE

JANUARY 12, 2024 - SPRINGFIELD, MO

Rush hour was delayed for motorists on the 800 block of Glenstone Ave after a single vehicle accident into a utility pole closed the right-hand lane for about 30 minutes.

Springfield Fire and Cox EMS were alerted to the crash with information that the single occupant was unconscious, but breathing. Upon arrival of emergency personnel, the single male patient had

regained consciousness. After further evaluation, the patient was transported to a local hospital.

City Utilities also responded to inspect the pole and used a boom truck to secure the pole in place until it could be determined if replacement was necessary.
