BUTTE FIGHTS 4 FIRES IN 10 HOURS

OCTOBER 5-6, 2024 - BUTTE, MT

Saturday evening, a structure fire erupted at Harrison and Elizabeth Warren Avenue. That structure was a total loss and just the beginning of a busy night for firefighters in the Butte area.

In the early morning hours on Sunday a fire was reported in the 500 block of Silver. As crews were clearing that scene, two fully involved structure fires were called in within thirty minutes of each other. First, a barn fire near Little Basin Creek occupied resources from multiple agencies before a single-family dwelling in the 1400 block of Easy Street was also reported as fully involved while crews were still actively fighting the barn fire.

Crews from Butte, Boulevard, and Racetrack Fire departments all responded as well as medics from A-1 Ambulance and officers from Butte-Silver Bow Police.

Boulevard Fire Department released a statement reminding everyone to practice fire safety shortly after crews cleared the scenes.

No injuries were reported and all four fires remain under investigation.
