BRUSH FIRE TAKES STRUCTURE

OCTOBER 23, 2024 - REAVISVILLE, MO

Several fire departments joined forces today when a brush fire ignited, eventually destroying a structure just south State Highway TT near Reavisville.

Departments on scene included Aurora, Monett Rural, Purdy, Jenkins, Central Crossing and more.

Incident Command kept a close eye on the development as fire progressed to the South into the surrounding timber. Several brush truck units were containing the perimeter while multiple tankers relayed water from surrounding communities.

This fire is one of many in the region as drought conditions continue. Burn bans will remain in effect until the drought subsides.
