PARENTS SAVE FAMILY FROM FIRE

SEPTEMBER 21, 2025 - BARRY COUNTY, MO

Parents took swift action to save themselves and their young children in a house fire Sunday morning.

While severe storms rolled through the Ozarks, a family experienced a power outage after a lightning strike. Upon further investigation, a fire was discovered prompting a swift evacuation. Further-more the homeowners took action to shut off propane and electricity to the house while the fire department was enroute.

This serves as a great reminder to have a fire safety plan, as well as routine testing of your smoke detectors. Although a home was lost, life safety was preserved by a prepared family.
