MONETT HOSTS MULTI-STATE FIRE TRAINING
FEBRUARY 28, 2026 - MONETT, MO
The City of Monett and Missouri University Fire and Rescue Training Institute hosted 11 fire departments for a two-day training on Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting. Participation involved firefighters from Bentonville, AR to Columbia, MO and everywhere in between.
Scott Regional Technology Center hosted day one for classroom training before crews moved to the Monett Regional Airport to apply practical skills in a state-of-the-art, live fire, aircraft prop.
These types of trainings are critical for our rural fire departments and off-airport incidents where AARF apparatus are not commonly available.
Missouri University's Fire and Rescue Training Institute offers this and many other trainings that have proven to be vital for our first responders and their continuing education both in Missouri, as well as nationwide.
