WILDFIRE IGNITES SOUTH OF BUTTE

SEPTEMBER 28, 2024 - SILVER BOW COUNTY, MT

Multiple agencies responded to help the US Forest Service with the initial attack of a new wildfire Saturday evening. Upon arrival, crews found approximately 35 acres of the forest on fire.

The Feely Fire started South of Butte, and Northeast of Melrose in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. Firefighters from Rocker, Boulevard, Butte and the US Forest Service were quickly on scene with assistance from two helicopters equipped with buckets.
