AUCTION HELD FOR INJURED FIREFIGHTER

OCTOBER 17, 2026 - BUTTERFIELD, MO

A spaghetti dinner, live auction and fundraiser was held in support of long-time Firefighter Bobby Ragsdale. The fire engines were vacated as the smell of food and the sound of bids filled Station #1 Saturday evening.

Ragsdale was involved in a severe rollover auto accident on September 20th and remained in the hospital for nearly a month. He was released just in time to make an appearance at his benefit dinner where the community rallied together to support him with $9,465 in donations.

A very long road to recovery is anticipated and donations are still being accepted through the Butterfield Firefighters Auxiliary. If you would like to donate towards Bobby's recovery, contact the auxiliary at bffauxiliary@gmail.com or donate digitally using CashApp by looking up $BFFAuxiliary and mentioning "Bobby Ragsdale".
